Dr. Robert Kreamer graduated from Des Moines Still College of Osteopathy and Surgery (now Des Moines University) in 1956. After graduating, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Des Moines General Hospital and then became the first osteopathic physician accepted as a fellow by the University of Iowa cardiology program.
Throughout his career as a cardiologist, Dr. Kreamer practiced at the Iowa Heart Center, Mercy Hospital, Hamilton County Hospital, and Des Moines General Hospital. He also served on the DMU Board of Trustees from 1993 until his death in 2011.
