Dr. Harry B. Elmets graduated from the University of Iowa before earning his doctorate in 1946 at Des Moines Still college of Osteopathy and Surgery (Now Des Moines University).
Dr. Elmets went on to teach at Des Moines University for 55 years. He has also served on the school's Board of Trustees. Along with teaching, he practiced as a staff member in nearly all of the Des Moines Metropolitan Hospitals.
