Abstract
Research Question: Does transferring fecal matter from healthy weight individuals to the gut of obese individuals assist them with weight loss?
It is theorized that healthy weight individuals gut bacteria may metabolize and utilize food differently than obese individuals, or have an impact on various metabolic factors influencing weight. The link between gut microbiome and systemic inflammation is also frequently researched.
As the prevalence of obesity grows, and health outcomes are impacted, innovative approaches for treatment are necessary. This review of the research explores the latest approaches and results.
