Project Overview

• A comprehensive literature review examining barriers to early allergen introduction

• Development and dissemination of a provider counseling script for a 4-6 month well-child visit
• Collection of participant feedback to assess understanding and identify ongoing gaps

My Why

My interest in this topic was peaked when my siblings received conflicting recommendations from healthcare providers regarding when to introduce allergenic foods to their infants. This highlighted the real-world gap between evolving evidence and clinical practice and reinforced the need for clear, consistent provider education.
