Abstract
The purpose of this article was to look into long term treatment options for patients with atrial fibrillation who have contraindications to anticoagulation.
The article's focus was on the different types of left atrial appendage occlusion devices.
This article helps to inform providers on the differences between the devices allowing them to inform their patients on the benefits and possible adverse effects. Intended for both PAs in Cardiology and in Primary Medicine.
The data shows the progress that some devices have made to lower certain adverse effects.
