Abstract
Background:
EMS providers often struggle to locate and verify POLST (Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment) and DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) orders during emergencies
Challenges: Paper-based orders are frequently lost, outdated, or inaccessible, leading to unintended resuscitations or treatment delays
Objective:
Develop a statewide electronic registry for POLST/DNR orders to provide real-time access for EMS providers
Improve patient autonomy by ensuring their care preferences are honored efficiently and accurately
