Abstract
This review utilized a comprehensive search of literature from 2019–2024 via PubMed and professional guidelines from the AHA, American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), and other authoritative sources.
The information gathered from the review then led to the development of clinical guideline proposals and a clinical-decision-making-support tool.
Input for clinical practice guidelines and support tool was gathered from clinicians throughout the clinical year.
This topic, along with proposed edits to clinical practice guidelines regarding the use of ECG screenings in youth preparticipation physical exams were discussed with the Journal of Athletic Training for review and potential publication.
